Situated in the
Southdowns
National Park we cater for a wide range of needs, from a ploughmans
during a country walk, to a relaxing meal with something more formal in
the evenings.
We still believe in the fresh daily ideal which we achieve with the fresh fish and homemade dishes. Our butcher, a local farmers cooperative, delivers the best Sussex Beef using traditional breeds with free-range Pork and Lamb and his sausages are particularly excellent. The farmer for Lamb grazes his sheep nearby at Charleston Farmhouse.
Chickens and Ducks are from a local poulterer and we try to buy all of our organic vegetables, if available, from a local market gardener. We also deal with a local baker who makes fabulous brown and white breads which are served with our dishes.
We also sell other items from these suppliers including local honey, eggs, pheasants and hare or duck if it is in season.
We have a self-catering flat comprising of a double bedroom, W.C, shower-room and a full kitchen/diner.
